One mile inland is the sprawling Ashcombe Park where are dogs are permitting to roam off the lead throughout - with the exception of fenced playground areas. Half of the park allows off-lead walking, however dogs must be kept on their leads in the other designated areas. Clarence ParkĪcross Beach Road from the Promenade at the south end, you will find the charming Clarence Park. The main entrance by Worlebury Hill Road has free parking available, alternatively walk along the seafront promenade past Marine Lake, right into Upper Kewstoke Road, turning right into Camp Road and left into the dead end of Camp Road, where you will find steps to climb to the woodland entrance. Weston WoodsĪ mile-and-a-half route from the entrance to the hillfort. The area between Royal Sands and the Grand Pier marked in blue on the map, is off-limits to dogs from 1st May to 30th September between 9am and 7pm and dogs are not permitted at Marine Lake.Īs well as beach walks for your dog to enjoy, there's a great number of parks and green spaces also available to explore. These are the streches of beach between The Grand Pier and Knightstone Island and towards Uphill, beyond the Royal Sands car park at the south of the beach.
